- So, you have to begin with meter, i.e. you need to find that how many inches make 1 meter. To say, 1 meter is equal to 3 feet.
- Now you need to find out how many inches are there in 1 foot. 1 foot is equal to 12 inches. We know that 1 meter is equal to 3 feet. So, by multiplying number of inches in a foot by number of feet in a meter will give you the answer, i.e. 36 which means 36 inches are equal to one meter.
- Now the mathematics will become easy for you. You can now get the desire answer by simply multiplying the number of inches per meter by the number of meters you want to convert. We have calculated that one meter is equal to 36 inches. So, if yow want to know how many inches are there in 3 meters, then simply multiply 36 by 3 and the result will be 108 inches.
- You can do all this by using calculator. If you want to have a desired decimal number, calculator will help you. However, if you want to have an answer precise to four decimals, you will put yourself in a problem without calculator.
