How to Convert MP3 to MIDI

Unlike MP3, WAV, and WMA, MIDI is not an audio file. MIDI files contain descriptions about how to make music. You need proper hardware or software synthesizer to make music with MIDI file. Converting MIDI files to MP3 is quite easy but it becomes quite difficult at times when you need to convert MP3 to MIDI. This tutorial will guide you how to convert MP3 to MIDI without getting wrong results.
Things you’ll need:
- WIDI Recognition System Professional
Instructions:
- Download and install WIDI Recognition System Professional by follow screen instructions.
- Launch the program and select ‘transcribe pre-recorded MP3, WAV or CD’ and click “Next”.
- Browse and select the MP3 files you want to convert to MIDI and hit “Open”. It will return you to the previous window but with file (s) path.
- Click next and change settings for MIDI recognition. You can also use presets from the drop-down menu if you are unsure.
- Click “Next” and the program will start analyzing your MP3 file(s). Once the analysis is completed, close the Wizard.
- You will be taken back to the software main window. You’ll have two windows in front of you. One window represents waveform of the initial MP3 file while the ofther one shows the outcomes of the spectrum analysis. Yellow areas are usually notes, and this is where the sound is most intense. You can adjust, modify notes directly in this window and also preview them.
- Click “Save” to save the MIDI file.
Warnings
- Trail version of WIDI Recognition System Professional will allow you to save up to 10 seconds of tune.

- Read carefully the instructions of application before you start to convert the files.
